SLFA Cup 3rd Round

Last 16 and half of them are Prem sides. However aside from Inter Derby and Zombie Knights they all avoided each other which means only one all Non Prem tie which is Askham Bryan Athletic meeting Pendle Forest. We could have 7 Prem and one Div One side left or even 1 Prem and 7 non prem sides left after the matches. Can't help feeling it's likely to be a mix as some great ties.

Hornets travel to Pendal forest in a tight game on the cards , we need to keep the pressure up on Leimington at the top of the table .

Thunder Dragons face Coyotes at the bottom of the table clash , this is a must win for us as we could drop into the top relligation spot with a loose.
An without our top scorer farrel injerd for over 1 season this could be a tough ask. :roll: :lol:

Double headers for both my sides this week.

March Town aim to keep pressure on Oakwood this week as we host Fivehead Flyers. Never an issue game, but we have some catching up to do so ideally need the victory.

We also are away in the cup to what should be a great draw for us as we take on Div 3 Cove Athletic. Banana skins are there for us all and we need focus to make sure we don't slip up.

Taynton need league points to try to battle the drop. We have an easy game away at fellow strugglers Kilburn United :lol: :lol: A really tough game and would take a useful point tbh.

Taynton also have cup action this week, a home time against Div 1 side Robin Hood's Bay. This has a tricky look to it and can see us dropping out in this game if we aren't at our best.

Inter get two good wins in both league & Cup to keep their hopes of a top three finish alive, the top two face each other next week :shock: Kilburn fall to another late goal to lose again, even though as part of the loan agreement they were not supposed to play against their parent club?!?! :evil: A rematch methinks

Robin Hoods Bay are now the only one of my teams left in the cup. They lost a league game against Stainsacre. Askham Bryan lost both games.

MTU fail to turn up in the second half of our match against Fivehead and although we led, we went down 4-2 in a 10min collapse it seems. Host of sides on 35pts and all 6pts behind the leaders who are in the sights of a good few teams now.
The cup thankfully had no drama for us as we move through comfortably and wish Cove Athletic good luck for the rest of the season.

Taynton pick up a massive win in the league, albeit we still sit in the drop zone (and currently fulfilling my pre season prediction of dropping). Apologies to Razor for playing loan players as I completely forgotten about it :oops: :oops: however, I was sure I had dropped the Mid as he has poor form (so maybe a blessing I hadn't as player coming in had form).
The cup game was all action and excitement as expected and went all the way to spot kicks which we fell short in.

Returned to a country we had done well in and found the below guy for 2535k

Inter P are having a very inconsistent season and although they probably did enough for a point went down to a couple of late goals to lose 3-1 at Kings Park,our forwards have really misfired this season after being lively in promotion last season.
Arun V picked up a 3-2 at home to Banks O'Dee,we played pretty well and with recent results have created a gap on the relegation spots which was beckoning a few weeks back :)

Good week in the league as Zombie win 2-0 but on to the cup another poor Results as we lose 1-0 thats make no teams left in the cup :( X.force pick up a good 1-1 draw away :)
