RH's World Cup dreams looked dead and buried after just 9 minutes of this game. BA, who were already qualified, came out with a relaxed approach and played some attractive passing football, which led to 2 very early goals - Saxon Pance and Sean Taylor putting the finishing touch to the moves.
RH now had a mountain to climb, knowing they needed a big win here today, but didn't give in and went on the attack. They were rewarded with one goal before halftime, Timothy Sherwood netting.
The excitement continued in the 2nd half, with both teams looking for more goals. In the end, only one more came, an equaliser for RH, scored by Andrew Stabler.
In the end, a fair result, but not good enough for RH, who would have qualified with a late winner.
BA are now joined by GE in the last 8.
