A major upset here today. Aries Premier were already out of the competition, and only turned up with 10 men. Premier turned up with 11 and desperately needed a win to ensure their place in the last 8. To everybody's surprise, AP suddenly found their feet and were totally dominant in this game. A first half goal from midfielder Phillipe Beret gave AP a deserved lead, and they had several other good chances. In the second, Premier pushed forward and assumed AP would run out of the steam, but the opposite seemed to be true and AP continued to control the game, grabbing two more goals near the end, the first from Beret again, and the next from Danny Roarke. For the Premier, the final whistle wasn't the end, as players and fans listened intently for the result coming from the other game, and hoped desperately for an Opal defeat. |

Yep good to see Roarke getting a goal...maybe he can polish of the season with a league and cup double too, that would be a fairly decent end to the guy's career. |
