Post subject:  Loxley Elite v Watnall Premier
Both teams came into this first knock-out stage game with a positive attitude and looked to play attacking football. Although there was very little to seperate them in terms of gameplay, infront of goal, LE proved to be absolutely deadly and dished out one of the biggest spankings of the tournament.

The goals came early, with LE midfielder Michael O'Malley striking twice in the early minutes. WPL fought back desperately and had plenty of opportunities, but couldn't find the net, whereas it seemed that everything LE struck at goal went in. Before half time, Jon Gee and Gary Wishbone had added two more, and it was all over as a contest. To run salt into the wounds, O'Malley put away a penalty to grab his hat-trick just after the break.

The game settled down as LE brought on substitutions, looking to save their players' energy for the semi-finals, and no more goals were scored.

Oh well.. percentages was an incredibly close game but it wasn't meant to be.

I'm not saying anything. Everyone I've tipped has been thrashed and dumped out of the tournament. Pretty much like my World Cup tips really... England.... no Argentina.... no Brazil..... no Germany..... no France...... oh forget it :lol:
