There are definitely some big players out there who splash the Cash on fast or youth players.

I remember the early days of playing (paper turns) and I never seemed to get to even 20m. I never used the FP scout because it costs extra money I didn't have. Playing in isolation without a forum was tough - no sharing ideas or easy trades etc. It's different now and money seems easier to build.

My sides (albeit two of them are pretty new to me) have between 5 and 30m. A few could have a lot more, but have chosen to Swap YTH FP's rather than Cash in. Mainly as I feel you can get better value in swaps than paying high AM prices for top players. Might be misguided in that view though so perhaps I should try it

Some interesting comments and results there, thank you.

I find some of my teams generate more than others, and some are cheaper to run. I like to save up a good safety net so I can buy if I want to. Which I could translate that into real life. :D

A couple of my clubs are in debt. Sleights have around 30 million but the majority have between 5 and 15.

Cusco now have over 70M
Most we ever had is 100M
I see no reason in having lots off Cash so I over bid on youths only a few would

Cair have 35M
Most they have had is over 50M

The rest are not worth mentioning

Sleights managed to get that amount through selling a quick 16 year old on the AM.

I find it nearly impossible to generate money with 1 team, solely relying on lucky foreign player finds.

I wish I knew the secret to it!

Loyal have never had more than £10m until last year, but haven’t done too bad
Emus have managed to transform the squad to a young group but now only have half a million in the bank
But I’m sure they will keep the wolves from the door.

Playing the game without any transfers whatsoever (except every 10 years when I find a decent foreign player), it still plays quite close-to-the-bone, which is how I kinda prefer it. Obviously as a multi-player game, it required transfers, so that was never going to stay that way, but I find that I have to keep my squad small and my bank balance just above zero and rely on random finds to keep myself from collapse. But then, I dunno what I'm doing :P

Been so long without a poll. Was considering doing a follow up on money as comparing what we all had all those years ago could be interesting but first I had this idea so here goes :)

Ok, this is about what is your most valuable club worth. As near as I can figure this it will take 3 parts to come to a final figure.

Firstly total squad value, then add your bank balance.

The third part will be the value of your ground so a bit of working out required there. I have pasted below the cost of each type of plot.

ALL TERRACING STANDS

1) 250 terraces. Cost £80,000. 5 weeks to build.
2) 500 terraces. Cost £115,000. 10 weeks to build.
3) 750 terraces. Cost £145,000. 15 weeks to build.
4) 1,000 terraces. Cost £175,000. 20 weeks to build.
5) 1,250 terraces. Cost £205,000. 25 weeks to build.
6) 1,500 terraces. Cost £300,000. 30 weeks to build.

MIXED STANDS

7) 250 terraces. 250 seats. £150,000. 10 weeks to build.
8 ) 500 terraces. 500 seats. £250,000. 20 weeks to build.
9) 250 terraces. 1,000 seats. £340,000. 25 weeks to build.

ALL SEATER STANDS

10) 250 seats. £110,000. 5 weeks to build.
11) 500 seats. £175,000. 10 weeks to build.
12) 750 seats. £240,000. 15 weeks to build.
13) 1,000 seats. £400,000. 20 weeks to build.
14) 1,500 seats. £525,000. 25 weeks to build.
15) 2,000 seats (two tier) + 10 executive boxes. £800,000. 30 weeks to build.
16) 3,000 seats (two tier) + 10 executive boxes. £1,050,000. 35 weeks to build.
17) 4,000 seats (two tier) + 10 executive boxes. £1,300,000. 40 weeks to build.
18) 5,000 seats (two tier) + 10 executive boxes. £1,550,000. 45 weeks to build.
19) 6,000 seats (three tier) + 10 executive boxes. £1,900,000. 50 weeks to build.
20) 7,500 seats (three tier) + 15 executive boxes. £2,350,000. 55 weeks to build.

So to give an example.

You have the seemingly popular 40k stadium made up of 20 plots of 2,000 seats at a cost of £ 800,000. Therefore your ground is worth 20x £ 800,000 = £ 16,000,000

Each user can vote for their top 2 clubs if they so wish and of course comment below :-)

I like this! I'll have a look while doing my turns now.

Quite a minor addition, but some folks may have a few crackers on the AM, so could have a few tens of million awaiting to arrive. Would you like that included too?

I've got some grounds in the process of building, with the monies committed, so I will add those.

Grounds should count if you have spent the money as basically this is all the money invested in a club so that makes sense to add current building work.

Hard to add amounts on AM other than whatever the current bid or listed value is if no bids (certainly can't go by AM estimates as frankly a lot of them are VERY bad a lot of the time!). :)

Bear in mind you can change your votes so if a player sells in a week or two and the balance goes up into another category you can change your vote.

Speaking of voting, I know Smelly has been unable to register his vote. If anyone else has an issue let me know. I should add I have no clue what the issue is or how to fix it at this point!

4 teams in 101m-150m (all between 115m-125m) and 1 in 151m-200m

Got some old stands that aren't on the current list (i.e. 2,000 seats but no executive boxes), so valued at closest equivalent.
